Pre-orders: If you order an item shown as 'Due in stock in XXX' we will hold your order until the stock arrives and then process and dispatch it. If a delivery to us is substantially delayed we will advise you with the option to cancel and re-order when the items arrive. Pre-orders will be given priority for limited stock deliveries. Contacting Us
It is quickest to telephone us directly (day or evening) on our mobile number (+44 (0) 777 578 5574) so we can deal with your query quickly. If we are unable to answer, or if you prefer, send an SMS text message and we will get back to you.
Our e-mail contact is odic@odicforce.com, however, this can be slower since our mailbox sometimes collects a lot of automatic e-mails and spam which delays us finding urgent messages.
Delivery Time
We aim to pack and post all orders showing as in stock within 2 working days; please allow in addition a reasonable time for the selected delivery service.
If an item is showing as due in stock in XXX days the item is not in stock but we have been notified by our suppliers that it is in transit to us and we expect it to be able to pack and post within XXX days; Please allow in addition a reasonable time for the selected delivery service.
Please note that the due in stock in XXX days estimate is based on the normal carrier time for the supplier and cannot account for any import delays such as customs inspections etc. If you have ordered an item that is due in stock and delivery to us is taking longer than expected we can cancel and refund your order with the option to re-order when the item is back in stock.
Missing or Late Order
We normally use Royal Mail to send orders by First Class Post / Airmail (or Recorded Delivery / International Signed For / Special Delivery if purchased at checkout) and can help as follows:
First Class Post / Airmail
The Royal Mail Conditions of Service count an item as missing or delayed after 15 working days (UK) or 25 working days (Airmail). If it does not arrive after these time limits please let us know and we will re-post the order and make a claim with the Post Office. (These time limits are supposed to allow for undelivered items to be returned to the sender so are around double the expected maximum delivery time.)
In our experience orders to Italy are often slow because of local customs and can take up two two weeks longer than other European destinations..
PLEASE NOTE: We keep a paper posting receipt for these services but have no way of checking the delivery of First Class/ Airmail deliveries until after 15 working days (UK) or 25 working days (Airmail), before these times the Post Office will not accept a request.
Recorded Delivery / International Signed For / Special Delivery
These delivery services are quickest and Royal Mail Conditions of Service count an item as missing or delayed after 10 working days (UK) or 20 working days (overseas). If your order does not arrive after these time limits please let us know and we will trace the tracking number then re-post the order and make a claim with the Post Office. (These time limits are supposed to allow for undelivered items to be returned to the sender.) In our experience, orders to Italy are often slowest.
Returns
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and enclose a returns slip with all orders, this can be used to return goods in most cases with no need to contact us in advance.
(1) If you have changed your mind / decided the item(s) are unsuitable within 14 days of receipt: Return the items in 'as sent' condition with the delivery note and we will refund the item cost less postage.
(2) If the goods are found to be faulty / damaged in transit / an error in our description / wrong item sent: Return the items within 14 days of receipt enclosing the returns slip with a description of the problem and we will test and replace within 7 days (or refund the item and shipping cost if it is no longer available).
Exceptions and conditions:
- We cannot accept returns for Laser Diodes removed from the antistatic packing (due to possible static damage) or dismantled, abused or modified items.
- We will normally refund your postage costs for returned faulty goods at the rate originally charged for your order.
Combined Shipping
This website calculates shipping by weight so should give the most economical basic shipping cost by default. Our e-Bay Outlet does not support this method due to e-Bay limitations and only allows combining of the same item. For e-Bay orders of different items placed at the same time if sufficient extra shipping charges are paid on separate orders we use the postage fee to upgrade the service to Recorded/International Signed For service.
